Dr. Fulvio is an excellent human being above all. From the moment I arrived at his office, he treated me with great kindness and addressed all my expectations and questions. An incredible person. I traveled from Florida and was treated by Shakira, who was attentive the entire time, answering any questions or concerns I had from the very beginning of the process to the last moment of recovery. She always responded to my messages, no matter the hour. Excellent team. I recommend the doctor 100%, and if I need to undergo another procedure, he will be the one I choose. I am very satisfied with the final result.

I have never met a doctor and a team of professionals more caring and charismatic. They provide the security and trust you need; you don't feel like just another number on the list. I can't thank Dr. Fulvio and his entire team enough for being attentive, for taking care of us before and after the operation, and for the WONDERFUL results.

Excellent doctor... very kind, dedicated, and inspires confidence and security. He also has a very professional team that is always available to support and advise you. I am from Bogotá, and I have always felt well cared for by both the doctor and his team. I underwent an implant change as part of the responsibility we must have for the lifespan of the implants... Highly recommended... Total top-notch!

If you are considering improving the shape and size of your breasts, it is important to understand the differences between the most common procedures: breast augmentation, breast lifting, and breast reduction. In Cartagena, Colombia, Dr. Fulvio Correa offers his expertise of over 10 years to help you achieve your desired results in a professional and welcoming environment.
Breast Augmentation.
This procedure, also known as breast augmentation surgery, is performed to increase the size and improve the shape of the breasts. It uses silicone implants to provide the desired volume. Breast augmentation is ideal for those who want a fuller appearance or wish to restore volume lost after pregnancy or weight loss, positively impacting the self-esteem of our patients.
Breast Lifting.
Also known as mastopexy, this procedure focuses on elevating and firming sagging or drooping breasts. It is ideal for women who have experienced a loss of firmness due to aging, hormonal changes, or pregnancies. Breast lifting can significantly improve the shape and contour of your breasts, restoring a more youthful and firm appearance while directly enhancing your confidence.
Breast reduction is a surgery that reduces the size of the breasts by removing excess tissue, fat, and skin. This procedure is ideal for women who suffer from back, neck, or posture problems due to excessively large breasts. In addition to the physical benefits, many of our patients experience an improvement in their emotional well-being and quality of life.

The surgical procedure typically lasts between one to two hours, depending on the complexity and type of surgery. Incisions are made in strategic locations to minimize scarring, such as around the areola or beneath the breast fold. Through these incisions, the necessary adjustments are made, such as inserting implants or removing excess tissue and skin.
As for anesthesia, two main types are used. General anesthesia is the most common, allowing the patient to be completely asleep during the operation. In some cases, when the procedure is less invasive, local anesthesia with sedation may be used, keeping the patient relaxed but awake and pain-free.
Recovery time varies, but most of our patients can resume light activities after a week. However, intense exercise and lifting heavy objects should be avoided for at least four to six weeks. Wearing a surgical bra is essential to support healing. Definitive results may be noticed in a few months, once the swelling has completely subsided and the tissues have settled.
